Title / Titel	Treatment of atrial fibrillation in horses using an extended-release preparation of quinidine sulfate: A retrospective study on 20 cases.

Summary / Zusammenfassung	Atrial fibrillation is the most common cardiac arrhythmia leading to poor performance in horses. It is commonly treated using oral formulations of quinidine sulfate. The use of extended-release preparations has not been described in horses. The goal of this retrospective study is to describe the use of an extended-release preparation of quinidine sulfate for treatment of atrial fibrillation in horses, with special emphasis on effects, adverse reactions, and outcome.
