| Summary / Zusammenfassung | Objectives of these studies are to describe functional and biochemical changes occurring in human mononuclear phagocytes upon deactivating (such as IL-4, IL-10, Il-13 or dexamethasone) or a combination of activating and deactivating signals. Several markers of deactivation have been recognized and are studied in vitro and ex vivo in patients. The establishment of such a panel of deactivation parameters that work in human monocytes are apt to provide clinicians in the future with a monitoring system of immunosuppression such as that used in transplant patients. Currently systems for a FACS analysis for protein markers and real time PCR for m-RNA markers are under developpment and clinical study. A continuous array of new markers is contributed by a group of co-workers studying macrophage deactivation by differential display. Weitere Informationen |
