Title / Titel	Long-term neurodevelopmental outcome after neonatal encephalopathy: correlation with MRI findings

Summary / Zusammenfassung	This study determines the spectrum of cognitive and motor functioning in non-disabled children after neonatal encephalopathy (former perinatal asphyxia). In addition, patterns of neonatal MRI abnormalities will be correlated with neurodevelopmental outcome. A prospectively enrolled cohort born between 1989 and 1994 with different degrees of neonatal encephalopathy who were examined with cerebral MRI within 30 days of birth were examined at a mean age of 10 years. Comprehensive intellectual and motor assessment was performed. Status on school performance and degree of disabilities was recorded.
