| Summary / Zusammenfassung | Management of fattening rabbits in groups of 20 – 30 animals is a new animal welfare-friendly production form. The role of infections with Pasteurella multocida is crucial for the success of this production method. In this project we compare isolates from group management to isolates from disease outbreaks in fancy rabbit production and isolates from healthy rabbits. Biochemical, molecular, serological and toxin studies will help to clarify the epidemiology, the potential of candidates for vaccine production and the use of diagnostic tools. | ||||
