Summary / Zusammenfassung	The purpose of the EU study is to evaluate new methods of Surface EMG (Surface arrays) in the field of occupational health and rehabilitation. Every European partner performs a core module, an additional low back module is performed by the Zurich and Copenhagen partners and a local module in Zurich. Main interest of the Zurich project is to evaluate the pathophysiological mechanisms in the development of low back pain in nurses. Of special interest is the motor behaviour of the back muscles in relation to potential physical and psychosocial risk factors and structural changes of the column.
