| Summary / Zusammenfassung | The effect of online news on traditional newspaper markets has been the subject of much speculation and debate. Recent research suggests that online newspapers have not yet become a full-fledged substitute for the print newspapers. But the evidence is scarce considering the predominance of cross-sectional studies, which are unable to acquire causal effects. This study investigates the developing relation between using online and print newspapers via an online panel survey with users of different Swiss German online newspapers. The central aim of the survey is to find out if news audience may gradually shift their news exposure away from print toward online media. | ||
