Title / Titel	Pressure and force distribution under the normal foot during the push-off phase in gait

Summary / Zusammenfassung	The plantar pressure distribution was measured during the push-off phase of walking with the EMED-SF4 system of Novel, in 42 healthy subjects between 20 and 59 years of age. After subdividing the foot into regions of interest, using a standard mesh configuration, forces acting in each of these areas were calculated from the pressures we measured. The importance of the first ray is shown in carrying forefoot load.
