Summary / Zusammenfassung	During blood storage coagulation factors lose their activity. So far little has been reported regarding the stability of factors in frozen equine plasma. The present study compares changes in total protein and activity of the most labile coagulation factors V and VIII respectively, and AT-III over a storage period of one year under various storage conditions. Effects of whole blood donation and plasma donation by apheresis are compared by determination of haematological and blood chemical parameters and coagulation factors in the donor horse.
