| Summary / Zusammenfassung | This PhD project focuses on climate change impacts on the temporal variability of catchment runoff. This includes the evaluation and further development of robust bias correction methods to be applied to the simulations of regional climate models (RCMs) from the ENSEMBLES project. The calibrated RCM simulations will then be used to drive hydrological models for selected Swiss catchments. Simulations of basins of different sizes and altitudes will allow quantification of climate change consequences on typical Swiss discharge regimes. One particular aim is also to assess how uncertainty is generated, propagated in the model chain and how does it eventually affect hydrological projections. Finally, it will be investigated how probabilistic simulations can support decisions on mitigation and adaptation strategies. | ||||||||
