PDF Abstract (PDF, 14 KB)
Original title / Originaltitel Die Einführung der DRGs in der Schweiz aus ethischer Sicht. Eine empirisch basierte Untersuchung ethischer Implikationen.
Summary / Zusammenfassung The PhD project deals with the coming introduction of DRGs in Switzerland in 2012. Based on qualitative interviews with relevant DRG stakeholders such as physicians, politicians, scientists, hospital managers etc., the projects focuses on:

- the usefulness and legitimation of establishing accompanying ethical researches on health policy reforms in Switzerland (e.g. on the implementation of DRGs in Switzerland)
- ethical relevant criteria which should be considered within an accompanying research on the introductions of DRGs
- the introduction of DRGs and its possible implications in the light of current conceptions of "good" medicine and of being and acting as a "good" physician
- the role of ethics in society and politics
