Title / Titel	Validation and clinical implementation of assessment tools developed by the Clinical Initiative in subjects with a spinal cord injury

Summary / Zusammenfassung	The overall aim is to determine the validity and clinical relevance of assessment tools developed during stage II of the Clinical Initiative. Three studies are proposed: 1. To determine changes in cortico-spinal tract function during locomotor training and gait improvement in chronic incomplete spinal cord injury (iSCI) subjects. 2. To assess the responsiveness and correlation of the electrical perception threshold (EPT) as a measure of posterior cord function in subjects with a spinal cord injury (SCI) as compared to the electrical pain perception threshold (EPT) and dermatomal somatosensory evoked potentials (dSSEPs). 3. To determine the relationship between the EPT, the EPPT and the Pain Protocol (PP), which is a structured interview specifically designed for subjects with SCI assessing the type of pain (e.g. neuropathic, musculoskeletal pain), the characteristics of pain and quality of life.
